I wrote a hack to the News items that whenever a user replies/comments, the webmaster and/or all users who have commented on that article get an email. Just like the Forum Posts notification. That way I get notified when there are additions, which is especially important on older news items. Anyone interested?

Well, many of you got an erroneous email - SORRY! No better way to test than with a live audience :lol: - It worked in my test environment but I need to tweak it a little. Sorry for the inconvenience! |

No, in the notification to your last comment above the subject line etc is now just showing the basic info however the link back was not active. |

That link is live and so is the one in the message I receive. That message with the 2 links was a test message and I am no longer using that format. But, in the notification message I just received, in Outlook Express, the link works. What email client are you using? |
