our developement processes do inscribe work into the artifacts - that are the modules, blocks, hacks and themes. we store them at large respositories; warp-speed.de nukecode.com etc..

Re: nukecode.com now running with 20,779 : celebrate the sustainability (Score: 1) | ![]() | I realy fail to see the point why the total members of a site is important enough to publish a news item and using that as title. Cause when we should look at statistics we get a different picture of what the story wants us to believe. Quality is more important then quantity. A simple look up shows the following results : ravenphpscripts.com - 15,079(members) traffic = 40,299 nukecode.com - 20,779(members) traffic = 436,325 ourscripts.net - 30,145(members) traffic = 503,786 hitwalker.nl - 1130(members) traffic = 260,029 http://warpspeed.4thdimension.de - 71263(members) traffic = 166,549 (traffic based on domain - thats downloads and forum ) As you can see with the above statistics a lot of members dont mean anything.. Even i do better with traffic = 260,029 Ravenphpscripts has as a pro resource support site only 15,079 members but beats us all... Also has more traffic then nukecops.com - traffic = 54,645 |

Not to sure how all this was calculated. I average 1,000,000+ hits per month. Like everyone, a lot of that traffix is search engines, but that's good :) It's really hard to come up with a good statistic system. I kind of look more at the number of stories submitted, stories read, and forum participation beyond only a handful of people. But, That's just me. |

well the view is what different raven as you own the site. i am a member that helps out and look at it in a different way. everybody sure has his own view of looking at these things, and i know for a fact that a lot of people agree with my view on this... submitting stories is indeed a good thing, but its also fair to say that a lot of the submitted stories are offered by the same person and mostly duplicates,meaning...reacuring stories. I personaly like reading any new stories of developers that show off their new creation, and thats how it should be. If reacuring stories should serve new members then you could easely encourage new members to read the stories archive if they wanna know whats going on in nuke land or whats being developed. maybe its also because the development of nuke stuff is very slow. there isnt much new stuff, basically its fixes etc and some new added functions on modules.. Its slowing down, i know cause i see it in the general updates. long ago i had a lot of work keeping track on things...,now a few years later its very easy.... but alexa as a resource on traffic can be trusted and says a lot of the website that you check. |
