I have been running my site for a while now, and all of a sudden I get an error message that says "Invalid IP Used". This comes just a few days after a user reported the same problem.

I'm commented out that part in includes/sentinel.php

My question now is what happened? why after all this time does this happen? Does commenting that out open me up to vulnerabilites?

try to update your sentinel and / or ip2country...
