Points integration (further)

I am trying to see if there is any interest in adding the default points system into modules in the RN package.

I have already tied it into the downloads mod for access on a per download basis and to charge points for each download which is configured in the downloads admin as you add each download.

Just trying to get more user activity so members cannot just register and down all of your sites content and never return.

I have also added the points display in the forums directly under the users post count.

Can be seen and tested on my site at Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!

You must register first of course and can join the Beta team to get a copy to test and help improve it.

Any ideas or suggestions are wanted.

Just as a passing thought... wouldn't that essentially provide an incentive for clutter the website up just to gain points?

Forcing activity will lead to less constructive content and, in my opinion, lead to more useless content as a means to gain points. But I could be wrong.

Never considered that friend, You are right. Might not be as good an idea as i thought. Just hate having folks just sign up to sweep content for their own sites. Thanks for the food for thought.

I think it depends on the site. A content driven one could benefit from it. It would be a way to get users involved in the site.

That is what i would hope would happen and thought leachs would not bother posting at all.
