Well, I have been away from the site for a few days because my home machine decided to die on me.
We have had some pretty bad storms in the kansas city area this year. Early in the year we had a lightning strike across the street and that business lost 3 computers at once. By some miracle my machine was spared, I thought. Last week the power supply went out. I replaced it thinking that would take care of things. As it turns out my mobo is bad too.
I don't want to format my machine so I need another mobo exactly like the one I have.
Anyone know where I can get a Gigabyte GA-8KNXP for a good price? I have looked today and $200.00 is the best I have found. I need to make the purchase tomorrow (tuesday) but thought I would ask here in case someone knows where I can get one at a good price. |

BTW, I built a Pentium 4, 3.0GHz Northwood machine a couple of few months ago, and I'm still looking for a good m/b. The one I have now is basically a freebie - you know - the chip alone was 229 bucks but for 209 you got the chip and a m/b. Go figure!
I have a ECS 848P-A - Intel 848P chipset (modified 845/Brookdale) now, so just about anything would be better... |

I purchase from ZipZoomFly.com and Newegg.com, so I'd check there for that motherboard..... (and if they are out, then check mwave.com and for me, as a last resort, I check 5oclock.com -- which is a local store for me) |
