alright guys,
i dont really know where to ask these questions but i figured with your collective knowledge you may be able to help.
i am looking to create a website, where users can sign up, and start creating there own online journals(blogs)
i'm having trouble trying to find one that suits my needs.
i basicly want it so that a user signs up and is issued with his own space. which he can then use to create his diary
like this site : http://www.aboutmylife.net/
i have asked the site owners what CMS they use but i have yet to recieve an email - if i ever do.
if you could help me with this i would be greatful
thanks

Most CMS systems have this type of functionality, including PHP-Nuke. RavenNuke includes an enhanced Journal module that could be used for this purpose.
You could also check out Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! for comparisons, demos and reviews. |

thats why i love phpnuke...u cant make it do any one of the things it has...who says u need to use news??...u dont u can set the journal to be home and forums...u can disable them or any other module ud like..its all upto u...and u never need to worry bout lackin functionality...if one day ur slients want to chat with eachother...theres a module for that...award points....theres one for that too....theres a lot that can be accomplished with nuke...but to define nukes functionality is a site by site bases...because nuke can be made to do anything u want it to. |

I recommend you compare alternatives - there are a lot of great systems for blogging / journalling. Nuke can do that, and you can turn off everything else, but there may be other systems that have better features for that than what Nuke offers. That's why it's nice to have a demo site as I pointed to earlier. |
