help with forums posts not showing up

ok,

It had been a while since I had been on one of my sites. Now when I go to the forums it shows the number of posts and such, but when I go to read a thread, it is empty, says "there are no posts in this forum".

When I go to the db, the tables are there and the posts are there as well. How can I fix this please?

Rn 2.10.01.

I would first try this. Go into Forum administration and select Forum Management. Out to the far right of each forum you will see the link to ReSync. Select it and see if that restores the posts.

I tried that with no luck Raven.

Wonder if I should maybe just re-upload the forum files? I think I have seen this or heard of it before but it has been a while since I have even messed with one of my sites, I think I have shortimers...

Have you run a phpMyAdmin table check to be sure that no tables are stuck open?

Yes sir,

I had checked, optimized and repaired. However, I did find the problem. Of course it was operator error. I had made all the posts under an old user name, and had decided to remove that user and just go with one that I use on most all sites. And of course, the posts were looking for a user that did not exist so they were not showing up. All fixed now.
