Like is used on this site. Is this available anywhere for download? This would be a perfect addition to my site.
I went to the link in the Copyright, and it is not available there to download either. Can I get this module anywhere? |

Heh! I'm like a Harley - sometimes you gotta kick me to start...
I finally got 'Bandwidth Meter DSL' out of beta and into a distro, with a little prodding from Raven and Bob Marion.
Here's the URI: Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!
I've been tweaking this module for months and it seems to be accurate and stable. Bob said, it "worked perfectly right out of the box". Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully in the README.txt file.
Let me know if you have any problems. |

Thanks!
Can somebody just pop over to my site and test it for me? When I do it, it hangs on step 2 of 2 and I just close it out. Once it went through fine. Not sure what the problem is, but I wanted to know if it worked for outside users. |

Your install worked for me - ran it twice...
Quote: | Your current bandwidth reading is:
3.64 Mbps
Which means you can download at 465.88 KB/sec. from our servers |
Just ran Raven's install too...
Quote: | Your current bandwidth reading is:
2.73 Mbps
Which means you can download at 349.85 KB/sec. from our servers |
And, here's a test on my site...
Quote: | Your current bandwidth reading is:
3.27 Mbps
Which means you can download at 419.16 KB/sec. from our servers |
Looks like you trumped us! |

Just as a sidebar, you might try mine this afternoon. I'm running a full server backup right now. So, really that ain't too bad |

I think the problem is on this end, Raven. I'm on a DS3 connection. It usually clocks at 8Mbps+ to my site, so I'd guess that there is a lot of traffic on this WAN right now...
Here's the screenshot I used for the 'thumbnail' in my download section:

Would anybody know why upgrading to PHP 5 would cause outrageous results? My host upgraded PHP and now this module is no longer accurate. Here's my current results:
Quote: | Your current bandwidth reading is:
17.45 Mbps
Which means you can download at 2.18 MB/sec. from our servers |
It always gave me normal results until the upgrade. |

PHP 5 is NOT 100% backwardly compatible - and that's documented. On top of that, it is NOT production ready in MANY experts minds. I would DEMAND that your host either downgrade or offer both environments for you to choose from. If they won't, contact me for a hosting quote |
