Had the exact same problem with a site admin yesterday. His ip (98.0.234.xxx) showed up as iana and was getting the invalid ip message. Just go into the the search addresses part of sentinel, put in the ip, and when it shows up as iana just go to edit in functions, fill in the ip to and from, and change it to whatever country the user's from (guessing US). |

I haven't checked yet, but see if there's an updated IP2Country data from NukeScripts
You should always keep that up-to-date |

I'm using the 4/27 version, and it wasn't there. Will probably be there in the next update. |

If you are using RavenNuke(tm), there is a setting in the rnconfig.php file that can override the system check altogether. This is not the recommended way but sometimes if you are in a hurry or aren't able to get an updated IP2COUNTRY update, you can use this. Another reason to use this is that IP 127.0.0.1 (localhost) will set this off. So usually on home installations you set this to TRUE.
In rnconfig.php find
$bypassNukeSentinelInvalidIPCheck = FALSE;
and change to
$bypassNukeSentinelInvalidIPCheck = TRUE;
If you are not using RavenNuke(tm), then just add this line to your config.php file:
$bypassNukeSentinelInvalidIPCheck = TRUE; |
