I have recently upgraded to Php Nuke 7.8 from 7.5. When I had 7.5 the T/S block (Dark/Center) worked great, now it will not work. All is config correctly on teamspeak side of it, and I understand my web host may be blocking ports. I contacted them and they said they leave some ports closed for security reasons. Which port needs to be opened? Also, is this block a bandwidth hog, they told me that they would shut down my site if I used this, because I am not on a dedicated/virtual server package. I told them, that I had it worked with 7.5 and now it does not, and why? Their reply was, that I some how found a loop hole and bypassed something. Does any of this make since, or was the Tech-Support guy a noob?
Does anyone know of a Teamspeak block that 'DOES" work with phpnuke 7.8, if so, I will try that block to confirm if my webhost is blocking my T/S, or if the current block I am trying to use, may not be configured to work with 7.8
I have tried to contact the maker of my current T/S block (the one that is not working), and have not gotten anywhere.
When I ftp everything and activate the block, this is what the block says...
An error connecting to the TeamSpeak server has occured!

Upgraded? I guess that's a subjective term... 7.8 has some serious security flaws - 7.6 would be a better choice IMO.

I'm not sure why moving to 7.8 would have exposed the blocked port. I'm not familiar enough with that block to know if it's a bandwidth hog, but several hosts don't allow things like IRC, certain chat modules, etc., so that could be legitimate. It may be that the TeamSpeak server is down - is there another way to verify that?

Thank you for the reply. I have viewed my ts server on tsviewer.com and the server is not down. I am not sure the port got exposed, rather it got blocked, therefor prohibiting the needed communications. How difficult would it be to convert to the new version of Raven? As for security flaws, I was under the impression, that all of Php-Nuke portals have these security issues? What I would like to do is find a T/S Block, compatible with 7.8, than start the process of elimination, or if anyone is familiar with the script, I could post it, and someone could verify the language.

Basically everytime the block loads, it needs to communicate with the TS server. That's could be a lot of traffic that the web server has to deal with, esp if you're under a shared server.

If the host will not open outside ports, then you're really outta luck.
