Can someone translate what $datenbank and $verbindung are in english? I'm trying to modify a script that's in german and these are the only two words I'm not sure about. Thanks in advance.

mysql_select_db($datenbank,$verbindung) or die ('Connection to database failed!');

Using google, I found and only translator and datenbank is database and verbindung is link or connection, link would match the actual variable names used in nuke.

Hope this helps.

Thanks I tried google but wasn't positive about what to use with $verbindung, so my line should essentially read this then right?

mysql_select_db($database,$link) or die ('Connection to database failed!');

or

mysql_select_db($database,$connect) or die ('Connection to database failed!');

depends on the application. See your defining words that are variables.

For example,

If I used $NBNDFGNSDINGCVZCFG

it transates to drunk on a keyboard Laughing

But if later or earlier I set this variable, then thats what it needs to remain.

But if this is for use on a tutorial, link would be more appropriate.

no it's actually in use in part of a script i want to redo in english but now that I see it's being used to define a variable i guess it doesn't matter what i call it as long as the variable is the same. for that matter I guess I could leave it as $verbindung.

Exactly but you must make sure its being defined already so careful not to translate too many variables into different words. You may run into the trouble of calling it link here and connection elsewhere. Also a lot of mods use the preexisting variables within nuke. Make sure that those variables are translated properly.
