Hello everyone,
Just had an update on Sentinal to 2.5, my AOL users/members are not able to enter the site. What do I need to do, I believe it's in protected range feature, but anything else. Also, I'm very ignorant about this, there fore I have a dumb question.
How to add a IP range? If I have for example:
64.12.96.0/19
Would I add it
from: 64.12.96.0
to: 64.12.96.19
Is this correct, thank you for your time.

To add ips, look at the adding to the protected range option |

Is this at the, "IP2C Add Range"? or at the "Protected Range Menu" or in both...
Thanks for your time and help,

Are you using the Proxy Blocker?
If I remember rightly AOL uses a proxy and therefore this will stop them from accessing the site. |

Proxy Blocker is off, and ip's were added to the range similar to the above post. I'm stumped here on what it is they are still not able to enter. |

Go into the admin area for Sentinel, you should see the option to 'Search for IP' put the users IP in there and see what comes back.
I'm specifically interesting in which 'Ranges' it says it found the IP in. |

I looked up an IP from a user that can not enter: 64.12.116.201
Result
64.8.0.0 to 64.12.255.255 US United States 64.8.0.0/16,
64.9.0.0/14
Another example:
2nd IP from a user that can not enter: 152.163.100.199
152.163.0.0 to 152.163.255.255 US United States 152.163.0.0/16
Did the edit_for_core_files edits change at all from 2.4 to 2.5?
Any othe suggestion is apprciated |

Yes it did.
2.5 was issued as a complete version (not as an update - though their is a sql update script included).
You will need to carefully review the edits required as some older ones may need to be removed. |
