upgrade from 242pl5 to 2503

Client Joined: Dec 24, 2004 Posts: 194 Location: Michigan

1) downloaded the full package 2503 (from nuke resources) and uploaded to a rwsrn 20202 site

2) was allready logged in as admin and ran the nsnst.php and began to run the upgrades 1 at a time from 242pl5 on up to 2503

3) everything seemed to go ok except i got somewhere along the way it said something bout update table to nuke config failed but then at the bottom got confirmation that everything completed OK

4) so i went back to my admin menu and everything seemed to be ok so i went about importing countries to blocked countries etc etc

logged out last night tried to login today and now admin.php loops upon trying to login ?????

is this because of a table upgrade that didnt complete properly ?

and now i cant login to re-run the nsnst file

also i deactivated manualy the module for sentinal by editing the DB directly and during one of the imports something happened that left the site switch to closed so i had to manually change that in the DB as well

any ideas of what might of happened or suggestions which direction to proceed?

I've had to do that on occassion. Doesn't take long to get back going again with some minor configuration tweaking.

could issues with sentinal be the cause of the admin log in looping ? or should i be looking else where

dropped all sentinal tables from DB (trying to login after each drop) and still looping.........................back pedals further to drop the sentinal files...........stay tuned

Delete your cookies and try to login again

deleted all sentinal files and either the includes/sentinal or language/sentinal stopped the looping but now have blank white page which if i remember is the includes folder issue so i am ftping that right now.....

ok got my index page and admin page back admin.php is still looping

after re-uploadin all files it was still looping......so i backed up and dropped the authors table and recreated the god admin and it allowed me to log in again.....deleted the GOD admin info from backup and copied and pasted the other admins values into SQL tab of DB and wala so far things are going good again lol...now to add sentinal back in...

added sentinal in last night and all seemed to go well......i am still confused as to why or how while running the upgrade scripts the authors table became affected..........
