Tired of using phpMyAdmin for those quick update/edit table settings jobs? So am I. And, as I patrol and answer questions here and elsewhere, there are often times when users don't have phpMyAdmin installed or don't know how to use it. This little utility need only be placed in the same file as mainfile.php and will allow you to update a known setting in a known table. It's all in the README file. Use at your own risk, but enjoy! Get it here Read More...

Update 8/13/2003 13:35 Added HTTP Authentication for security. Also all selections for database, tables, and columns are now made from dynamic drop down boxes. Removed all references to Nuke to make this useable for any installation. please note that I do not intend on enhancing this anymore. It does about all that I intended.
Update 8/10/2003 20:05 Added WHERE clause functionality to allow updates to multi-row tables based on selection criteria. Also, added MD5 encryption capabilty.
Update 8/7/2003 11:46 I have added the functionality to Check the current value before making the Update. Read More...

KISGB Analyzer and System Check Utility More about Read More...

[NOTE 4/19/2003: I have updated this to include a check for the error reporting level issue that causes so many unwanted Notice messages in the Apache error_log and on the screen. If you have already downloaded the first file, please redownload to have the current one.]

I have made available a utility (syschk.zip) that will analyze your KISGB setup and provide you with valuable diagnostic information to help you (and me) set up and/or debug KISGB and your PHP system. It is very powerful and revealing and should not be left lying around your system!!! You should run this immediately after installing KISGB for an analysis. Please let me know your comments and enhancement requests if they are needed. Read on for more details. Read More...
