About a month ago I had to relocate my site to another host as my then host went out of business. Everything seemed to be going okay, until today I noticed that even after adding some spammers to the IP Banned list, the .htaccess file didn't update. Any suggestions on what I should look for here? Question

Well, off the top of my head, do you have permissions set so sentinel can write to htaccess? An does your new host allow for htacess?

Other than that, I notice that happens sometimes too and I don't know why. But the IP's get stored in the database, so I don't know if it's a major concern or not. Anyone?

Have you reset the path to the .htaccess file in sentinel admin panel?

After digging around all afternoon, I did change the access to 777 (hope that is correct) and then I found out the new host does the path different, and hopefully I have that correct. After all that, I found out that I had a big problem with the SQL database. It did not load some of the tables correctly and one not at all when I moved my site. So I played games with that and think I have the SQL okay at this point. Only time will tell.

Thanks for all the pointers and hints. Very Happy
