Bearing in mind that nuke uses two tables to hold user data it would be a nightmare to sync up but given enough time and perseverence nothing is impossible.
Having said that, this might be one of those times when specialist help might be required and that of course means coughing up some money.
An example of the user table structure might go a long way to determine 'how longs the piece of string' |

Thx Guardian, very much appreciated for your honest answer.
Ill get back to him and see how much he REALLY wants to convert, BTW who would do such a service ... (convert the tables for a fee) just out of interest ? |

Best place to ask that is in the 'for hire' forum.
Make a note though, there will be a massive difference in the amount of work between transfering the user data and transfering the forum post data.
If he wants the forum post data transfering as well, better tell him to start saving his pocket money |

well funny but there is one...but it comes with 2.0000000 errors and problems...
it can be done but only if you use duplicates of the sites on a testing area...
but looking at the time it will consume and the work etc....and naturaly how much a person values his time per hour.......it can get expensive... |

well in short terms...
its a huge job.....
and after a convert you end up with a forum that has a whole bunch of bugs ,things that dont work, a complete messed up forum thats out of sync.
just to name a few....
so its not recommended, but maybe theres someone outhere that likes the challenge.
i have a pack that converts to a bunch of forums but if it was me....i wouldnt do it....but a test area isnt a bad idea. |

Just for reference, Evaders, would this create the nuke_user data or just the nukebb_xxx data ? |

if anyone realy want to do it you can download the converters (free ones) at this address.
http://community.ipslink.com/board/convert.html
link is at the bottom.
but in this case its possible were talking about a ipb thats not paid for and if thats so you cant buy the $60 convert service ..
the ipb is easy to get from a to z....
but trust me....from what ive read your in for a lot of problems before it runs ok.... |

My converter does grab the phpbb_users to nuke_users data. It will clear any old user data out.
Can't say about the conversion from IPB to phpBB. |
